Music Festival Season Begins!
Next weekend is the Rombs Country & Bluegrass Jamboree and the start to this year's music festivals.
I am looking forward to playing in Fairview. I have never been and it sounds like a great festival. Rocky Rombs is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and is sure to be a wonderful host.
Woodbend Bluegrass will be playing:
Friday, June 30 at 2:00 pm,
Saturday, Jule 1st at 4:15 pm,
Sunday, July 2nd at 3:25.
Hope to see you there.

Comments closed for the time being
Hi Folks,
Comments will be closed for the time being - I am getting comment spam like you wouldn't believe. I just don't have time right now to sort through it to approve the real comments. So I am very sorry if you have left a comment and I have missed it.
The rumour is that once I upgrade my blogging software to the latest version I won't have as much of a spam comment problem so I will enable them back to on as soon as I find the time to do that. Until then just drop me a line.

Happy Birthdays and Anniversaries
Bonne Fete to my Mom and her sister Denise who are both celebrating birthdays this week. And it's also my Aunt Denise and Uncle Norm's 25th wedding anniversary. Lots to celebrate when they come visit this month from Ontario.

WildWood Flower
On Sunday I played my last gig with Wildwood Flower. I think we played really well and had fun even if it was bitter-sweet for me. We have been making music together for about three years - I have learned a lot and had a great time, I can't imagine playing with a finer bunch of folks. But I have been so busy that I decided I needed to step down. I remember the first time we sang together at a jam at Linda Saboe's house - it is so amazing how our voices blended so well together. Look out for us at the bluegrass festival campsites cause I am sure we'll still be singing our sweet harmonies and making wonderful music. I am not sure what direction WildWood Flower will go now but one thing I know is that Sheila, Jeannette, Don and Ed will be having a blast doing it.
The hospitality at the Waskasoo Bluegrass club in Red Deer was amazing and the Four Chords of Wood guys are a total class act - a wonderful bunch of guys and excellent musicians. Festival season is starting soon so you'll get more chances to catch them as they tour around the province promoting their new cd Temptation.
